Position Summary:


The purpose of the HR Co-op Student includes, but is not limited to providing general support and assistance to the HR department.


With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward.




  • Preparing offer of employment letters as required
  • Data entry (new hire information, benefit enrolments, training)
  • Data verification and auditing
  • Distributing new employee welcome cards and service recognition packages
  • Document preparation for benefit plans and communications
  • Preparing verification of employment letters as required
  • Documenting key HR processes
  • Meeting and training material preparation
  • Monitoring the HRSS in-box, fax line and phone line, directing inquiries to the appropriate HR representative/manager
  • Conducting candidate reference checks as required
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Enrolled in a Human Resource Management program at a recognized college or university
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) skills with a customer service focus
  • Previous office administration experience
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills, with Microsoft Office Software Applications experience
  • Experience with HRMS and Applicant Tracking systems would be an asset
  • A can-do attitude, with a strong results orientation
