Millwrights/Mechanics

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform shop / field repairs and modifications as required
  • Trouble shoot compressors and process systems
  • Rebuild compressor valves, packing and assembly of complete cylinders and compressor frames
  • Perform start-up and function test of panels; set-up and align Engine and compressors
  • Repair and rebuild natural gas compressors
  • Follow ISO procedures, perform equipment inspections, compile reports/recommendations

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Millwright / Heavy Duty Mechanic
  • Min. 2 years experience with natural gas compressor packages
  • Tickets in WHMIS, TGD, H2S Alive
  • Possess excellent communication / organization / people skills
  • Proficient with computer applications
  • Experience with Ariel, Dresser-Rand, Mycom, Kobelco, Sullair White/Superior andWorthingtoncompressors would be an asset
  • Will consider other trade qualifications if work experience meets requirements

 

Welders  (Journeyman/Apprentice)

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Fitting and welding of large structural steel weldments using SMAW/FCAW welding techniques
  • Clamping and structural support of pipe systems
  • Ability to use welding and fabrication tools such as torches, arc gouging equipment, drills, measuring tools, etc.
  • Ability to read and use blue prints on a daily basis

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in a heavy structural steel welding and fabrication environment
  • Solid knowledge, skills and experience with GMAW process
  • Experience with SMAW/FCAW welding is essential, other welding experience is an asset
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work overtime or shift work as required
  • Results oriented, team player

 

 

Pipefitters

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Fit pipe spools according to spool drawings in compressor packages
  • Complete all ISO / ABSA documentation in a timely manner
  • Work on butt-weld and screwed piping systems

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Journeyman / Apprentice Pipefitter / Welder with equivalent experience
  • Experience working on new and used piping systems, read and understand process pipe drawings
  • Compressor packaging experience
  • Tickets in WHMIS, TDG, H2S Alive
  • Class 5 drivers license
  • Operate and accept the responsibility for a service truck
  • Possess excellent communication, organizational and people skills

 

 

Tubers/Instrumentation Techs

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform shop/field repairs and modifications as required
  • Trouble-shoot compressors and process systems
  • Perform start-up and function tests of panels
  • Assemble and install screwed and compression fitting piping  systems
  • Perform equipment inspections, compile reports / recommendations
  • Follow ISO procedures / documentation
  • Follow safety policies and procedures

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Journeyman / Apprentice
  • Min. 2 years experience. Preferably in natural gas compressor packages
  • Experience with Ariel, Dresser-Rand, White / Superiorand Worthingtoncompressors would be an asset
  • Class 5 drivers license
  • Operate and accept the responsibility for a service truck
  • Possess excellent communication, organizational and people skills
  • Will consider other trade qualifications if work experience meets requirements

 

 

Assemblers

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in assembly of compressor packages for Field or Shop
  • Work on new/used equipment
  • Work in Shop/Field environment involving shift work, with overtime as required
  • Perform general labour
  • Follow safety procedures/policies, ISO procedures, complete documentation as required

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Min. 2 years experience in a packaging/fabrication facility
  • Class 5 drivers license, tickets in WHMIS, TDG, and H2S
  • Possess excellent communication, organizational and people skills

 

 

B Welders (vessel and process pipe)

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Welding of process piping
  • Follow ISO and safety procedures/policies

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid “B” Pressure ticket and must pass a “B” Pressure weld test
  • Commitment to a safe work environment
  • Experience in vessel or process pipe, preferably with natural gas compressor packages
  • Experience working on new and used piping systems, read and understand process pipe drawings

 

Electricians

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Layout of conduit or cable and tray wiring system for skid mounted equipment
  • Termination of local instruments, end devices and control panel wiring
  • Troubleshooting of industrial engine systems
  • Start-up/Commissioning of control systems

 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Journeyman or 3rd year Electrical apprentice
  • Min. 3 years of Canadian Industrial experience, oil & gas preferred
  • Must be computer literate in Windows – PLC programming or operating experience considered an asset but not essential
  • Will be required to read electrical drawings
  • Must be a team player and have good communication skills
