Summary of duties

SharePoint is a relatively new technology in Enerflex. We are looking for a SharePoint leader who can guide us to establish our SharePoint solution set that can address various business needs effectively and efficiently. SharePoint environment must be built on the best practices and scalable for our ongoing business growth.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Quickly learn and support our SharePoint environment and what’s implemented so far
  • Create and maintain SharePoint sites and site collections
  • Provide first level support to resolve technical issues
  • Work with our internal customers to understand their needs, propose and implement SharePoint solutions
  • Provide expertise and support for SharePoint site administrators (typically business users)
  • Analyze and assess business requirements and work with .Net developers to customize SharePoint when appropriate
  • Seek, suggest and implement new SharePoint related technologies to enhance various aspects of Enerflex’s SharePoint solutions
  • Coordinate upgrades and outages
  • Build and manage a road map to convert legacy web and document storage solutions to SharePoint
  • Establish, document and enforce standards, processes and best practices
  • Produce technical documentation as required
  • Collaborate with and mentor other team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or technical diploma with equivalent of work experience
  • 1+ years of experienced with SharePoint
  • 3+ years of business analysis and/or application development experience
  • Good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Experience with enterprise portal and content management system
  • An understanding of good web site design and usability.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of third party tools for workflow, content management, governance management, reporting, etc. is an asset
  • Leadership skills, self-motivated, energetic personality
  • Excellent time management, organization, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong passion and appreciation of implementing and following standards and best practices
  • Business oriented analyst who has a strong customer service ethic and can analyze business pain points and how to improve them
  • Able to build strong relationships with internal customers and other members of the IT team
  • Able to consider a ‘big picture” (future modifications, reusability, business impact, etc.) when implementing solutions
  • Enthusiasm, energy and the ability to have fun in a dynamic team
